  1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy outlines the policies and procedures governing the collection, use, disclosure, retention, and safeguarding of personal information when you use LinqAlpha. LinqAlpha is committed to protecting your privacy and handling personal information in a transparent and secure manner in accordance with applicable data protection laws and recognized security standards.

  1. Information We Collect

2.1 Personal Information

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when registering for the service, expressing an interest in obtaining information about our products or services, contacting us, or otherwise interacting with LinqAlpha. This may include your name, email address, company affiliation, job title, and contact details. You may choose not to provide certain personal information; however, doing so may limit your ability to access specific features or services.

Personal information is collected only to the extent necessary to fulfill identified business purposes and is processed in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy. We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by applicable laws or regulations. When personal information is no longer required, it is securely deleted, anonymized, or otherwise destroyed in accordance with our data retention and disposal practices.

2.2 Derivative Data

As you interact with our services, we may automatically collect certain derivative data, including information about your device, browser type, usage patterns, and browsing activity. This data is collected through technologies such as cookies, log files, and web beacons and is used to improve system performance, security, and user experience.

2.3 Google User Data via OAuth

If you choose to integrate your Google account with LinqAlpha via OAuth, we may request access to specific Google user data to enable document-based functionality within the platform. This access is limited to Google Drive files and metadata that you explicitly authorize.

How We Use Google Data:

We access, use, and store Google Drive files solely to provide requested features such as document search, summarization, and retrieval within the LinqAlpha platform. Google user data is not used for advertising purposes or for any purpose unrelated to the functionality explicitly requested by the user.

Storage and Security:

OAuth tokens and related metadata are stored using encryption and access controls and are accessible only to authorized personnel. LinqAlpha does not store the contents of Google Drive files unless explicitly required to deliver a requested feature, such as temporary caching for performance optimization. Any stored data is retained only for the duration necessary to provide the service.

Users may revoke Google account access at any time through their Google Account permissions settings at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Compliance:

LinqAlpha’s use of Google user data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is not transferred to third parties except as necessary to provide and improve the service and only with user consent or as otherwise permitted by applicable policy requirements.

4.2 Third-Party Service Providers

We may share personal information with trusted third-party service providers that perform services on our behalf, such as hosting, analytics, customer support, and email delivery. These third parties are contractually obligated to protect personal information and to process it only for the purposes specified by LinqAlpha.

If personal information is transferred to a new third-party service provider in a manner that materially changes how data is processed or shared, users will be notified through an update to this Privacy Policy or other appropriate communication.
