About the Summit
Hosted by LinqAlpha in partnership with AWS and Databricks, the AI for Finance Summit is a private gathering for senior finance professionals to explore the industry’s next technical frontier. The Los Angeles edition tracks the shift from AI systems that execute isolated tasks to agents built for sustained, multi-step work inside the investment process, and it tests that shift against two very different desks.
Los Angeles is where credit concentrates. Some of the largest fixed income and credit managers in the country sit within a few miles of each other, alongside equity houses running both systematic and fundamental books. Credit research runs on indentures, covenants, filings and calls, which makes it the hardest test of an agent asked to work for hours without a human in the loop. Equity research is a different problem. This edition puts both in the same room.
The program opens with two firesides: one on what changes when an AI agent works for hours rather than minutes, and one with a thirty-year buy-side veteran on what the last technology cycle teaches us about this one. Three panels follow, on the equity desk, the credit desk and the build side, with a live demo in between and a networking reception to close. This Los Angeles edition, held during a16z LA Tech Week, continues a global series with past events in Boston (with J.P. Morgan), New York (with OpenBB and Guidepoint), Asia (with LSEG), London (with Deutsche Bank) and San Francisco (with AWS and Databricks).
